The Sturman & Co. team enjoyed a day out in London getting inspired at Clerkenwell Design Week. It was an action packed day full of new discoveries and notable trends. We couldn’t stop snapping away at beautiful kitchens, the latest fabric and tile ranges and of course grabbing a few freebies along the way - Bess particularly liked the pencils! The abundance of soft, earthy tones as well as the merging of office and home space were clear trends coming through from the festival.
We also enjoyed bumping into a few of our favourite suppliers.
‘The Monkey Puzzle Tree’ collaborates with artists to produce truly unique designs, made in England and created to add a lasting sense of beauty and individuality to both residential and commercial interiors.
‘C.P.Hart’ provide luxury designer bathrooms, bathroom accessories and furniture. They are on our ‘go-to’ list of supplies when we’re looking for something extra-special.
And meeting a few new ones…
‘Swarf’ produce modern hardware by hand. We particularly enjoyed their handles and knobs, which are as nice to use as they are to look at. They’re all made in small batches and every piece is made with care and precision. We’ve already got plans for these beauties in our studio.
‘Pyro & Echo’ are curators of the highest calibre tile ranges and stone slabs, from across the globe. Their collection left us inspired and we have already ordered a bunch of samples for one of our current projects.
With slightly sore feet and a craving for the fresh Yorkshire air, we headed home happy, inspired and a little bit tired.
