Sturman & Co. strives hard to play its part in the local community and we take our social responsibilities seriously. We offer career and education support as an Enterprise Partner of Ilkley Grammar School and we are passionate supporters of local causes we believe in.
In 2015 Bess designed the interiors of our local independent cinema, Ilkley Cinema. We’re proud of her award-winning involvement and the cinema has become a real community asset, providing a social and cultural hub as well as employment opportunities in our beautiful town ilkleycinema.co.uk
Since 2012 Bess has voluntarily consulted on the design and development of Outside the Box Cafe and Outside the Box Art House in Ilkley. These local charities support adults and young people with learning disabilities to achieve more and have greater independence, choice and fulfilment in their lives. Both have become vibrant social and cultural hubs for artists and young people in our community outsidetheboxcafe.com
